Join Us at the 10th Annual Frisco Inferno Barbecue Competition!
Get ready for a mouthwatering experience at our annual Frisco Inferno Barbecue Competition. This exciting event, taking place on October 3rd and 4th on South First Street in Downtown Rogers, celebrates community spirit with amazing barbecue and fun activities. We want to invite you to come savor incredible barbecue from competing teams and vote for your favorite in the People's Choice Award, all while supporting a great cause.
Kick off the festivities on Friday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a sauce competition, where you can sample a variety of delicious sauces and vote for the People's Choice Best Sauce Award. Tastings for the Friday night sauce competition will run $5 for a plate of five 1-inch sausage slices to taste the teams' sauces. Participants are free to purchase multiple plates to taste even more delicious sauces from the teams. These tastings will be sold on-site on Friday night.
Then, join us on Saturday from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM for the main event. Taste 1-ounce samples of pork and turkey from each team, cast your vote for the People's Choice Awards for both turkey and pork, and see who the judges select for the Judges' Choice Awards.
Tasting tickets for Saturday will be sold for $10 per taster pack, which includes five 1-ounce samples. Participants may purchase as many taster packs as they wish, each pack consisting of 5 tastes. Each taster pack will also include People's Choice voting tickets—one for turkey and one for pork. For example, if someone buys five taster packs (25 tastes), they will receive 5 voting tickets for pork and 5 for turkey. Winners will be announced at the end of the event.
Tickets will available for purchase onsite at the entrance of the BBQ Competition. Tickets grant you access to taste all the delicious BBQ and vote for your favorites. Don't miss out on the BBQ event of the year—see you there!

The Awards
A group of individual, non-partisan judges for each of the meat category will sample the participants' fare and determine who has cooked the best smoked meat. Through voting, the judges will determine the winners for each category of meat. Each category will be awarded:
- $1,000 for First Place
- $500 for Second Place
- $250 for Third Place
The Judges' Choice Trophy
We have created two ways to be a winner this year in the "Judges' Choice Award" for pork and turkey.
The "People's Choice Award"
Tasters will determine their favorite pork or turkey offering from the teams and cast their vote for the People's Choice Award.
Best Sauce Award
New for this year! This year we have decided to extend the tasting festivities into Friday evening with a sauce competition.

Do I need to bring my own meat for the competition?
No, the meat for the competition will be provided as par of your entry fees.
Do I have to participate in the sauce competition on Friday night?
No, the sauce competition is not mandatory.
Will electrical power be provided for my team location?
While some electrical outlets are available in the area, teams are not guaranteed that an outlet will be near their location or that there will be enough electrical capacity for all teams to have electricity.
